Environmental Impact

Several of our communities have gone through extensive renovations to meet or exceed Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) guidelines These communities are designed to be affordable, promote health, conserve energy and natural resources, and provide easy access to jobs, schools and services.

High Efficiency Lighting

Existing lighting fixtures in common spaces are replaced with LED fixtures. LED light bulbs typically use about 25%-80% less energy than traditional incandescent light bulbs and also have a much longer lifespan.

Water Conservation

The plumbing fixtures in these apartment buildings typically feature low-flow faucets, shower heads, and toilets. All of which use far less water than traditional fixtures and can save millions of gallons of water a year, directly reducing infrastructure costs.

Healthy Materials

The building materials and finishes selected have been carefully done in a way to eliminate toxins and chemicals of concern which improves human health and reduces negative environmental impacts.

ENERGY STAR Appliances

These apartment homes feature ENERGY STAR appliances. Compared to regular appliances, ENERGY STAR appliances meet strict performance criteria set by the EPA and can consume 40% less energy and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

Air Sealing

Air Sealing improves resident comfort by minimizing drafts, dampening noise transfer and decreasing odor movement between rooms.

Improved Building Insulation

Insulation around exposed piping and exterior walls significantly reduces outdoor air transfer which can improve indoor air quality, enhance home comfort and lower overall energy use.

Green Cleaning Materials

Our communities use cleaning products that eliminate harmful or untested chemicals to ensure the health of residents and staff.
