Luisa Rijo joined Rose Community Management as Regional Manager in 2018 overseeing operations of the Connecticut Portfolio comprised of a mix of LIHTC, Conventional, and Project-Based Section 8 Communities. Luisa is responsible for maintaining the physical and financial performance of the portfolio without compromising the quality of physical appearance or level of services provided to the residences.
Prior to Joining Rose Community Management, she worked with Winn Residential as Property Manager of Metro Green I & II (A Jonathan Rose Companies Development) where she served as an integral part of the team. In this role, her responsibilities included the lease-up of Metro Green III. She was also responsible for the lease-up and management of Mill Apartments and Millport Phase I & II (A Jonathan Rose Development).
Prior to Joining Winn Residential, she worked for the Stamford Housing Authority as Property Manager, during her tenure she spearheaded the tax credit conversion of 88 elderly project-based Section 8 units, while actively participating in the renovation projects in conjunction with the construction and asset management teams.
Luisa also has experience in working with various Board members as part of the oversight of 18 condominium complexes while working at REI, was instrumental in obtaining renovation loans, soliciting bids, and serving as a project manager.
Luisa earned her BS from the University of Connecticut, General Studies-Human Services, and MS from New England College, in Management-Real Estate. She holds her Connecticut Real Estate Salesperson license and is a member of Stamford Board of Realtors, Connecticut Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. Currently holds CAM designation and tax credit certifications and has a vast range of experience and knowledge in both the conventional and affordable markets.
