Director Of Talent + Culture

Rick Schultz joined Jonathan Rose Companies and Rose Community Management in 2020 as the Director of Talent + Culture. He oversees all aspects of human resource management for the organization.

Rick was formerly employed with The NRP Group, a national multifamily developer, builder, and manager. During his tenure with NRP, Rick designed and implemented the human resources infrastructure that enabled the accelerated expansion of NRP from 150 employees to 860, with important building-blocks that included: a new HRIS and ATS system; a new NRP employment brand; the creation of both the recruiting and learning and development departments; and major improvements to the benefit programs and administration. In the last two years alone, Rick implemented major improvements in the NRP time-off and 401K programs, instituted a new telecommuting initiative, upgraded important parts of the rewards and recognition program, and created and co-led a very active internal diversity and inclusion team.

Prior to joining The NRP Group, Mr. Schultz held human resources positions at Key Bank, Fifth Third Bank, National City Bank, The Cleveland Clinic, Computer Associates International, and Lockheed Martin. Rick received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and pursued graduate studies at John Carrol University. He completed his certification as a Professional in Human Resources, maintains professional membership in SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) and the HR Leadership Group of Northeast Ohio, and is a member of the HR advisory board of the National Apartment Association (NAA).

Rick is a volunteer and has held various leadership positions in JFX, Gross Schechter Day School, and the American Friends of Magen David Adom.  Rick resides with his wife and four children in Beachwood, Ohio.
